We're easy to find...
Our church is still at the same location it has been since it's founding in 1758, with a sanctuary that was constructed in 1832. First Presbyterian of Rockaway is the only church in the Rockaway area still located at its historic birthplace. Our cemetery is the final resting place for many people who have served our country since the Revolutionary War, including Gen. William Winds, the only Revolutionary War general from Morris County, New Jersey.
The easiest way to get to our church from either the east or west is to take Interstate 80 to Exit 37 (Hibernia/Rockaway Exit). From either direction, take a right at the end of the exit ramp onto CR-513/Hibernia Road. Proceed south, staying on CR-513 at all times. Hibernia Road will change to Halsey Avenue, and then to Church Street. After CR-513 becomes Church Street, you will proceed approximately 2 blocks. The church will be on the right-hand side, with the parking lot immediately after the cemetery. |
