Serving God and Serving Others
We believe it's important for disciples of Jesus Christ
to have opportunities to do "hands-on" mission,
for our work to directly help those in need.
Here is some of the work we take part in:

Free Community Breakfast - The last Saturday of each month a team of adults and youth provide a free community breakfast.  The breakfast is served from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. in our Fellowship Hall.  The menu includes pancakes, eggs, bacon, muffins, fruit and more.  During the summer we enjoy a delicious selection of summer weather favorites.  Everyone is welcome at the Community Breakfast, and yes, it really is free!

Lent is traditionally a season of fasting and prayer. During this time, Christians pay close attention to spiritual disciplines that deepen our understanding of what God is doing in our lives and in the world. As a church, we spend time together hearing about and praying for the ministries of compassion and justice done through our support of One Great Hour of Sharing.   Our children have been given their OGHS banks and will bring them to church on Palm Sunday, March 25 to be dedicated to God's work through dedicated volunteers.

OFFERINGS: OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARTNERSHIP,
LEARNING, AND WITNESS

The four churchwide Special Offerings of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) are a collective witness to Jesus Christ's love for the whole church. One Great Hour of Sharing, Pentecost Offering, Peace & Global Witness Offering, and Christmas Joy Offering play an important role in defining what it means to be a connectional church. Over the years these offerings have provided ways for individuals and congregations to join together with each other and in partnership with other Christians in responding to a variety of concerns.

Watch the video below to see one of the ways Presbyterians partner together to impact the world.

Family Promise of Morris County NJ is a community response to the community needs of homeless children and their families. It is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian emergency shelter and "beyond" agency that mobilizes community resources, including congregations of different faiths to provide food, shelter and support to low income families.

Unique in our approach, we currently utilize over 75 volunteer congregations throughout the county to provide shelter space, overnight staffing and meals to our families. This dedication and commitment of up to 1,600 individual volunteers annually makes Family Promise the most cost-effective local shelter program today. A large group of congregations and civic groups are organized to use their hou...ses of worship to provide, on a rotating schedule, temporary overnight shelter for families in need. Support groups (other congregations and civic groups) provide volunteers and food. Families daytime hours are spent at work, school, childcare or at our Day Center searching for jobs or apartments.

Interfaith Home Furnishings

www.interfaithfurnishings.org provides home furnishings for those in need by accepting furniture donations from the community at large. They are a non-profit service (501c3), located in Dover, New Jersey, and they serve Morris County exclusively. To date, over 1,100 Morris County residents have been assisted. About four times a year, we spend a day assisting in picking up and delivering furnishings to clients. It's hard work but worth the effort.
