The First Presbyterian Church of Rockaway is now a registered charity on AmazonSmile. Every time you make a purchase at smile.amazon.com, 0.5% of your eligible purchases will be directly donated to our church. It costs you nothing and the church gets income to continue it’s ministries in the community. All you need to do is sign up and here’s how!
Go to smile.amazon.com. If you already have an existing Amazon account, just sign in (you will use your same Amazon login and password). **Whenever you want to purchase anything from Amazon you MUST sign in to this site in order for the church to receive a percentage of your purchases (the church will receive no money if you just sign in to Amazon.com).** All your recommendations, history, and Prime discounts will be listed on this site under your account.

THE CHRISTMAS JOY OFFERING
The Christmas Joy Offering has been a cherished Presbyterian tradition since the 1930s. The Offering distributes gifts equally to the Assistance Program of the Board of Pensions and to Presbyterian-related schools and colleges equipping communities of color. Presbyterian-related schools and colleges provide education and leadership development while nurturing racial and ethnic heritage. This has been a Presbyterian commitment for nearly 140 years.
God has blessed the Church with incredible leadership in every time and place, but those leaders often need to be supported by their communities as well. This Offering addresses the support needed by some of our leaders, including supporting leadership development for communities of color, and providing support for Presbyterian church workers in their time of need. The Assistance Program provides critical financial support to church workers and their families.

Dear Members,
We want to keep you informed on the progress of our Capital Funds Campaign. Thank you to all who have responded so quickly. We currently have $80,000.00 committed towards our first goal of $120,00.00 and still hope to reach our stretch goal of $275,000.00!
Please remember that all we are asking for now is just a commitment for contributions to be made over a 2 year period beginning January of 2022. We are not asking for any money now! Your commitments will allow us to borrow money from the Presbytery to get these projects completed immediately. We will pay back the loan from Presbytery in 2 years.
These capital improvements will help us in securing a strong pastor to lead us forward into a new life for our church.
If you have already made a commitment, Thank You! (You are welcome to increase your commitment if the spirit moves you). If you have not made a commitment, please prayerfully consider making one. We all need to be a part of this. Just $5.00 a week would mean $500.00 in 2 years for the Campaign. There are more Commitment Letters and envelopes in the Narthex for you to use.
